While Macs may seem like they don’t need any special attention unlike those pesky WINDOWS computers, they actually do. And more than we may like to admit. After a period of time, you may notice your Mac slowing down. While viruses may not be the problem, clutter is. Much like in Windows computers, just having a lot of unnecessary processes open in the background will slow your Mac down.

Here are the top Mac Cleaners to help you freshen up your old, battered mac.

CleanMyMac 3

While customers believe that CleanMyMac 3 is a great cleaner, I beg to differ. Sure, it’s loaded with a ton of features and scanning options which include trash bins, iTunes and a lot more, it has a flaw. It’s too expensive.

Sure, you may think that five Mac users spending $90 on a cleaner is a good deal, but that’s not the case. Considering a single user has to pay $40 for a basic tool which does pretty much you yourself can do but faster, and considering you really need cleaning once in a while, it’s not the best product on the market, especially because of the price.

MacKeeper

Another average cleaner on the market, but is actually something I personally like a lot more because of the price. With pricing ranging from $40 to $60, it definitely isn’t cheap much like the previous entry, it is however a bit more powerful.

Enabling you to deep scan, and find duplicate items among other things, it is just like an average, “speed enhancing” software which has a few extra features as compared to other ones.

MacCleanse

Being a rival to CleanMyMac 2, this is by far my favorite software here. For one thing, it costs just $25 which is almost equivalent to PC prices, it also offers a lot more options for its price. When it comes to boosting your mac’s speed and cleaning up the several issues it has when it comes to reliability, this software will do just fine while not breaking the bank too hard.

There are a few limitations to this software, but considering it’s priced so well, you may want to consider it.

CCleaner

Imported from the PC, CCleaner Free does a hell of a job cleaning up your computer. Clearing up disk space, cleaning cache and recycle bin but costing a lot while it’s at. Although it is a fine product, the price may be something that may repel you from buying it. You can check a more comprehensive CCleaner review for more details and professional opinions.

Koingo Software

When it comes to technical terms, this software has a lot of them and then some. Being a result of over 20 years of research and understanding, it can be considering the “perfect” software on the market. Though it isn’t cheap coming at $70, it is a very powerful tool.

Being a computer version of a tank, it cleans up your platforms while being able to be operated across various other platforms. It’s modernistic and minimalistic in terms of UI and is efficient.

At the end of the day, instead of chucking your old Mac and getting the latest model, consider spending some money and revive your Mac with cleaning “agents” which are sure to do a splendid job and give your Mac and your pocket a second life.
